Student Success Statement

"No student ever attains eminent success by simply doing what is required of him/her, it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction"

Charles Kendall Adams
American Historian

This statement is telling us that doing what is required of you won’t take you as far as trying your best and exceeding in things. For example when applying to a very prestigious college they are not going to take the average student that has B's because all he/she does what they are asked to do. They will go for the student with all A's because they tried that much harder and I bet those students still did work outside of school volunteering, and played a sport, they did more than asked that is how you achieve excellence. You need to go beyond of what is required from you, and learn to always try your best in everything you do. That way people will expect great things from you.
