Student Success Statement

“I will persist until I succeed”
Og Mandino

Persistence is the only sure way to get what you want. The characteristics of a talented person will not shine through if you don’t try over and over again to get what you want. I will stop after I achieve my goal, and go again after I have made another one.  Don’t give up on yourself. If you have a gift then let the world see. If I can’t seem to get my grades up I will persist untill i do.

Student Success Statement

“Nothing in the world will take the place of persistence.
TALENT will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
GENIUS will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
EDUCATION will not; the world is filled with educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
-President Calvin Coolidge

I think that this means that the most reliable thing that will take you to what you want is to always try and never give up. Many men are talented, have great education, and are genius but do not succeed because they don’t try. Persistence is one and only. Nothing can replace it. You can’t go around it. If you want to achieve things you need to persist. You can have the skills but it doesn’t really matter if you don’t do anything with them.

“Persistence can change failure into an extraordinary achievement.”
-Matt Biondi
Olympic gold medal winner, world record holder

I think that this means that after we build our goals that we need to go on to do more. Dreams are just dreams until you make them happen. No you probably will not achieve them overnight. What you need is persistence. You can’t give up. Keep yup a good attitude and strive for what you want. Envision you making it happen and practice. Then you will turn the impossible into possible.

Students should take the most challenging high school courses (including AP or IB courses) available in science, math, and English. After three or four years of college, prospective physicians must attend medical school.  Undergraduate requirements for admission to all medical schools include one year of basic chemistry, one year of organic chemistry, one year of biology, and one year of physics.  Some schools require course work in calculus, English, the humanities, or social science. I don’t think I would like to become an osteopathic physician because it doesn’t really interest me to be working with the skeletal system and ensuring that it has a good health

Student Success Statement

1. Can people trust me to do what’s right?
2. Am I committed to doing my very best?
3. Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?
“If the answers to this these questions are yes there is no way you can fail.”

-Lou Holtz

Having a strong sense of morality is needed to make people trust you. I can be trusted to do what is right because I believe in what is correct. Giving your best will guarantee success and nothing less because you did what you had to do and maybe even went beyond. I always try my best because that is what I’m worth and what people deserve. The Golden Rule is very important. I treat people how I want to be treated because I always think of them first and put myself in their position.

“Never look to the ground for your next step. Greatness belongs to those who look to the horizon.”

-Bud Greenspan

You will never find the guiding light while looking down at failures or regrets filled in the air of uncertainty. The key is to look ahead at all the great opportunities and capabilities. John F Kennedy
In the video John F Kennedy tells the people of the United States of America that people are living longer and that they need to get on the train and live long as well but the only way they may achieve that is if they are physically fit. He wants a healthier America that is always physically active from young children to elderly adult create a brighter future stay physically fit. I will stay physically fit but not doing any sort of drug, exercising, and drinking a lot of water.

Student Success Statement

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body; it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”

President John F. Kennedy

Being fit is what is needed to have a healthy mind and soul; it is the basis of all. For example if you are overweight or underweight you won’t be healthy from anywhere because to do not being healthy physically you will start to fill your head with these thoughts and that then will poison your soul. You will become depressed you will think of nothing but that.

Reflection: I would not like to be an optician because I am not really interested in eye glasses or a medical field specialized on eyes.

Student Success Statement

"No student ever attains eminent success by simply doing what is required of him/her, it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction"

Charles Kendall Adams
American Historian

This statement is telling us that doing what is required of you won’t take you as far as trying your best and exceeding in things. For example when applying to a very prestigious college they are not going to take the average student that has B's because all he/she does what they are asked to do. They will go for the student with all A's because they tried that much harder and I bet those students still did work outside of school volunteering, and played a sport, they did more than asked that is how you achieve excellence. You need to go beyond of what is required from you, and learn to always try your best in everything you do. That way people will expect great things from you.

I would not like to become an optical laboratory technician because it does not interest me.

Student Success Statement
“Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing.”

Chick Moorman

This statement is trying to tell us that doing things the right way with honesty and loosing is better than cheating and winning. If we do things the right way we will feel better than if we do things the wrong way. If you cheat you are just lying to yourself and others, but if you do things the right way then people will respect you and look up to you for being honest and fair. In the end if you cheat you will get caught and end up regretting what you did. So it is always better to loose being honest than to win by cheating.

“Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself.”

Henry Ward Beecher

This statement is telling us that others expect certain things from us but we should always set higher standards than what they set for us. We need to exceed in the expectations that others have towards us. If someone counts on us to do something we need to do a great job at it so that others could see that you don’t set a limit to what you can do. Others might expect you to do a good job, but you should set high standards for yourself and do an excellent job.

“Goal setting is goal getting. Set and get”

Mark Victor Hansen

This statement is explaining how setting goals for will help us achieve them. We need to set goals and work hard in order to achieve that goal and once you have worked hard you will get that goal.
