Student Success Statement
"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all."
-Aristotle
I think that this statement is telling us that being educating our brain wont do us any good if our heart is bitter and uneducated, because if we are just smart we will be mean to others and not respect them, so it wont do us any good. Not being educated in the heart will make us be mean and selfish, and that wont be good. You can be te smartest person in the world but if your heart isn't educated no one will want to work with you, so being educated in the mind but not in the heart is no education at all.  In order to be successful we need to be educated in our mind and our heart.

Student Success Statement
"CTR connects you to happiness and success-CTW disconnects."
Mr. Haymore
This quote is trying to tell me that choosing the right will always lead to being happy and successful in life. If we decide to choose the right we will always feel good and we wont get into trouble. Choosing the right will make us go far in life and therefor we will be successful. But if we decide to choose the wrong, we wont be happy because we would constantly be getting in trouble and we will always be filled with regrets. Choosing the wrong will make us be unhappy, and unsuccessful. We need to choose the right all the time, that way we will always be happy and we wont be worrying about getting into trouble. Whenever we have to choose between the wrong and right, we should choose the right.

Student Success Statement
"Choosing the right is always the right thing to do."
Alex Linares

Alex's quote is trying to tell us that if we choose the right we will always be doing good. Choosing the right will always bring us positive things in life. Choosing the wrong will only get us into trouble and lead to many problems. Obviously if we choose the right we will be doing right. We can choose the wrong, but it will only get us into trouble and it would be wrong. This statement speaks for itself because doing right means choosing the right, and doing wrong means choosing the wrong. We need to choose the right all the time in order to be successful in life.

The Pros and Cons of Social Media
Description: C:\Users\lausd_user\Desktop\images.jpg
Social Media is used all around the world today. There are many popular social media websites today, such as Facebook, which allows you to add people to your fiends list. It also allows you to message them, and add photos or videos and tag them in them. Social Media websites have many advantages, but it also has many disadvantages. Some of the Advantages of social media sites are that they allow you to message people from all over the world instantly. It also allows you to join groups of things you like; it also lets you upload videos or photos from the internet. You can find jobs using these social media sites. Social Media sites also help you interact with more people and becoming more social like  (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Kik, Path Vine and many more).
A social networking site can be a good way to connect with and "meet" people. Thanks to social networking sites, meeting someone in person has become a thing of the past. "Poking" has become the new handshake. Making friends and renewing old ones is easy. Also, social networking sites offer us the opportunity to create a positive view of ourselves. The profiles gives you a chance to create the image of yourself that you want people to see. It lets you express yourself through your own customized profile.
There are also many disadvantages that come with social media websites, such as cyber-bullying. Cyber-bullying occurs all the time on these websites. Kids get bullied a lot, on their pictures status updates and everything else they do on these websites. Bullying can get so extreme that kids will end up committing suicide. Also, Students are getting in trouble with University administrators for posting inappropriate information or pictures on their social media profiles that are violations of school policy. Students are being turned down by employers for jobs, because of the information employers are finding out about students on their social networking accounts/profiles. Students might get kicked out of their school because of previous stuff they have posted. In my opinion, social Media websites can have both a negative and positive effect on our lives.
Pros:
·         Become Social
·         Share info w/ others
·         Fun
·         Meet new people
·         Games
Cons:
·         Privacy
