Duties
and Responsibilities: Plastic surgeons shape and mold regions of the body like
the ears, face, hands and other extremities. They repair congenital problems
such as malformed bone structure in hands or feet. They also repair or replace
body parts that have been damaged in an accident or inborn illness. They
perform surgery to enhance a person’s looks and to restore appearances.

Education:
Students must complete many levels of training and education, beginning with
obtaining a bachelor’s degree and a pre-medical major, such as biology or
chemistry. They then must enter a medical school. They should complete 5-6
years of residency training. After, they must pass certain exams to be licensed
and work legally as a surgeon.
