Licensed practical nurse

Duties and Responsibilities: Licensed practical nurses work in basic nursing care. They work under the direction of registered nurses and doctors. Nurses work in many settings, including nursing homes and extended care facilities, hospitals, physicians' offices, and private homes, most work full time. They have to complete a state-approved education program which usually takes a year. They must pass that exam and get a license before they can work.

·         Monitor patients’ health—for example, by checking their blood pressure
·         Administer basic nursing care, including changing bandages and inserting catheters
·         Provide for the basic comfort of patients, such as helping them bathe or dress
·         Discuss health care with patients and listen to their concerns
·         Report patients’ status to registered nurses and doctors
·         Keep records on patients’ health

Average Salary: $40,000 - $56,000

Educational Requirements: Licensed practical nurses need a high school diploma or a GED certificate.

In my opinion I would not like to be a licensed practical nurse because I would rather be an obstetrician or an anthropologist.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!
