Success Statement
Cowardice asks the
question ‘Is it safe?’ Expediency asks the question ‘Is it politic?’ Vanity
asks the question ‘Is it popular?’
But, conscience, asks
the question ‘Is it right?’ And there comes a time when one must take a
position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it
because one’s conscience tells on that it is right.”
-Martin
Luther King Jr.
We are focusing on things that we shouldn’t be focusing on.
We pay attention to “popular things” just to fit in with others. We rather look
“cool” and do something bad than to do the right things and have others look at
us as “lame people”. Being different is a risk one should be willing to
take. We must fight against society that
makes us teenagers seem like bad kids. We only live once so we have to make
sure to do the right things in order to experience life in a good way. We need
to choose the right whether its popular, safe, politic, or not.
